Hi — I’m Jessica, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN, LD) specializing in digestive health and GLP-1 medication support for people in Oklahoma.

Why GLP-1 nutrition? For years in clinical practice, I saw the gap between medical treatment and real-life nutrition support. GLP-1 medications are powerful tools, but they come with unique challenges: appetite suppression, nausea, constipation, muscle loss risk, and the eventual transition off the medication. Most patients aren’t given practical skills to navigate these shifts. I’m here to be your expert, your GLP-1 registered dietitian nutritionist.

My Background

Education: Master’s in Nutrition, OU Health Sciences Center

Clinical Training: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN, LD) at Mercy Hospital OKC

Professional Cooking: Years as line cook in diverse kitchens before entering nutrition

Current Practice: Telehealth across Oklahoma; building teaching kitchen in Edmond

My journey isn’t textbook. I worked professionally in kitchens first, then earned my graduate degree in nutrition, then practiced clinically. This means I speak both languages: the science of nutrition and the reality of cooking for your actual life.

My Philosophy

Your body isn’t a problem to solve. It’s a story to understand.

Food is personal. Your gut is personal. Your health is personal.
So your care should be too.

I believe in:

  • Commonsense science
  • Skills that translate to real life
  • Nutrition that respects your lived experience
  • Healing that doesn’t require perfection
  • Cooking as therapy, not performance

The Skillful Spoon

I built this practice as the opposite of rigid meal plans and shame-based advice. You deserve room to breathe again. Your symptoms start to make sense. Food feels supportive rather than stressful.

Telehealth sessions are available now.  I’m also building a teaching kitchen in Edmond for hands-on cooking classes and private lessons.
